For the final round of regular season fixtures all seven Eastern Conference fixtures will be played simultaneously. Charlotte need at least a point against Inter Miami - who welcome back Lionel Messi - to stand any chance of making it to the post-season. 

Alongside Charlotte, any two of Montréal, New York Red Bulls, Chicago Fire and New York FC can snatch a place in the playoffs.

Barcelona sporting director Deco has questioned the credentials of Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim and effectively ruled him out of the race to replace Xavi this summer. Xavi will stand down from his role as Barca's head coach at the end of the 2023/24 season and there has been plenty of speculation over who his successor will be.
