Diogo Jota injury update: how long will he be out of action for?
Liverpool defeated Brentford 4-1 at the Gtech Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday but have been hit with the news that forward Diogo Jota is set for a spell on the sidelines. Jota went off with an injury in the first half of the encounter and according to Portuguese outlet Record , he will miss two months of action after being stretchered off the field of play in Saturday’s victory. Brentford captain Christian Norgaard landed on the Portugal international’s knee after an aerial challenge. Jota’s knee bent in the clash, leading to the injury that will now see the in-form forward miss more of the 2023-24 campaign having already been ruled out earlier this season.
