After a summer of big spending came a winter of tight pockets in Saudi Arabia. Lamine Yamal signs Barcelona contract extension with billion dollar release clause

Barcelona have tied down young prospect Lamine Yamal with a three-year contract extension , with plans in place to offer him improved terms when he turns 18. The club have announced that the new deal will keep him at the club until 30 June 2026 . Yamal’s new contract has a buyout clause set at €1 billion ($1.05bn) . The 16-year-old winger has broken into the first team this season and become a frequent starter for the Spanish champions.
