Mykhaylo Mudryk reiterates transfer desire as Chelsea rival Arsenal for winger

Mykhaylo Mudryk has informed Shakhtar Donetsk that he wants to join Arsenal this month, 90min understands, with the Ukrainian side set to meet both the Gunners and Chelsea in the coming days. The winger has consistently flirted with Arsenal over the past few weeks, posting videos of himself watching the Gunners, but he is yet to be granted his dream transfer as Arsenal's opening bid for his services was rejected. An improved bid was soon launched, with Arsenal indicating a willingness to pay €70m for the 22-year-old, who is valued at closer to €90m by Shakhtar. Complicating things has been interest from Chelsea. Sources have told 90min that the Blues are due to meet Shakhtar director Darijo Srna in the coming days to discuss the terms of a deal for Mudryk. Srna is also due to meet Arsenal to continue negotiations, with the Ukrainian giants adamant that any sale would have to include an enormous up-front payment to convince them to do Business . Mudryk is aware of interest from C

When can Joao Felix make his Chelsea debut?

We're not even halfway through the January transfer window and Joao Felix has already been confirmed as Chelsea's fourth signing of the month. The Blues beat out the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to secure Felix's loan for the remainder of the season, with Graham Potter in desperate need of attacking reinforcements. Chelsea are struggling under their new boss and they were put to the sword by Manchester City at the weekend. There's little to no hope of silverware this term, with Potter's side currently languishing in mid-table. Nevertheless, there's hope that the mightily gifted Felix could propel the west Londoners during the second half of the season. The Portugal international has flashed his talent at Atletico Madrid, but Diego Simeone's vintage ideals have prevented Felix from developing at the rate many expected. Now's his chance to reignite his club career in the Premier League and Chelsea fans will be keen to see their shiny new toy in

Arsenal CEO hints at reason for Mykhaylo Mudryk negotiations delay

Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham has suggested that concerns over Mykhaylo Mudryk's price tag has led to delays in their negotiations over the Shakhtar Donetsk forward. The Gunners have been chasing Mudryk for weeks but saw two offers knocked back by Shakhtar, who have publicly warned suitors that they would only entertain bids of around €100m, similar to the fees paid for Jack Grealish and Antony by Manchester City and Manchester United respectively. Talks remain on between the two sides and 90min understands an agreement is closer than ever, with Arsenal indicating a willingness to increase their offer and provide the significant up-front payment that Shakhtar have been demanding. While all this has been going on behind the scenes, Mudryk has openly admitted his desire to join Arsenal. West Ham interested in Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao

West Ham remain keen to bring in a new central defender in January, 90min understands, with Udinese's Rodrigo Becao one of a number of players under consideration. Interest in Everton's Michael Keane was previously revealed by 90min, with West Ham keen to strengthen their options at the back despite bringing in promising Sao Paulo prospect Luizao at the beginning of the month. David Moyes' desire to add further depth is perhaps an indication that the Hammers are prepared to allow Craig Dawson to join Wolves - 90min followed up on the interest from Julen Lopetegui's side on Friday morning - if the terms are right, though it's likely a move will only be sanctioned once a replacement has been sourced. As it stands, Moyes isn't close to making a signing, despite the interest in Becao, but the Scot did confirm in his latest press conference that an offer had been received, and 'not accepted', for 32-year-old Dawson. Sources have told 90min that 26-year-ol

Eric Cantona makes bizarre admission about infamous Sheffield Wednesday trial

Premier League legend Eric Cantona has admitted that he thought Sheffield Wednesday intended to sign him when he was invited to train with the club in 1992, not realising it was only a trial . After a rollercoaster few years in France, Cantona had suddenly announced his retirement in December 1991 at the age of just 25 when he was banned for two months by the French Football Federation after throwing a ball at a referee while in action for Nimes. Future France, Liverpool and Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier was one of those who persuaded Cantona to start afresh in England. Liverpool turned down the opportunity to sign him but Sheffield Wednesday invited him to train with them – it later turned out as favour from Owls manager Trevor Francis from former Serie A acquaintance Michel Platini, who was France coach at the time. Cantona, who was an established international player and had scored 11 goals in 15 appearances for France across 1989, 1990 and 1991, didn’t realise what the arra
