Arsenal are back on home soil for the remainder of their pre-season after touring the United States for the second consecutive summer.

Three new arrivals and increased squad depth has ensured Mikel Arteta hasn't had it easy so far with the Gunners' Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest less than two weeks away.

After concluding their tour with a convincing 5-3 victory over Barcelona in Los Angeles, Arsenal next face Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco in the Emirates Cup on Thursday. Once a multi-team competition, the pre-season event has evolved into a one-off encounter.

Unsurprisingly, the Gunners have had great success in this comPetition in the past, with Arteta hoping his side will carry plenty of momentum into Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester City.

Minutes were shared out in the US, but we'll likely see Mikel Arteta hand more Game time to those who he thinks will play a part in Arsenal's Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest.

The Spaniard, however, has several absences to contend with on Wednesday. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson are both certain to miss out, while record-signing Declan Rice and Folarin Balogun are doubts after missing the club's final game of the tour against Barcelona.

Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber could earn starts, with Leandro Trossard deserving of a place in Arteta's XI.
